With Cat3 and Novice starting at the same time I only the benefits of Novice if you only want to go 5 miles or if you don't want to pay the fees. I will come on Saturday to work on the course, then ride with the crew. I still haven't figured out how to get onto Razorback Ridge yet. It's the only part I'm missing.

My wife is planning on running the trail run. Does anyone know what trails this will encompass? I want to take her out this week and run the course.

The trail run will just use the "Phase I" of the trails. So, take the race map at fasttrails.org and follow the race course but stop when you get
back to the lower kiosk (before you head over to phase II).

How many short track races are there.
flyer list 7 classes and say there will be races for cat 1, cat 2, and cat 3. That would be 21 races or is it one mass start and then you figure out who is where for results? If there are multiple races, what are the start times for each race. Thanks Kurt 
P.S. It would be great if the Cat 1 old men when off in the last 20 minute group. Gives me more time to get there

Some of the decisions will be dependent on how many entrants there are, but likely there will be four races, divided by category.
We will start with juniors then have a cat 3, 2, and cat 1 race. All adults within each category would race together. Whether to split the sexes or combine anything will be a race-day decision based on the number entrants. With the number of folks who've been preriding and the excellent Fall weather predicted we are hoping for a great crowd. Crews are marking the cross country trails tomorrow (Thursday) and work begins tomorrow night on the downtown square Trials course. This is going to be an awesome event Friday night with well over 1,000 spectators expected! |

Rode the trail yesterday morning and it is in great shape. 8.5 miles long with 750 feet of climbing for each lap. I am guessing that the lap times will be in
the low forties to the upper 30's.

"You guys" did an excellent job of marking the course and WOW what a difference between the condition of the trail from Tuesday to today(Friday)! So
much faster than it normally is! Ya'll have been working your tails off and it shows! Thanks!!!!

What a weekend! A big pat on the back to the promoters and volunteers of this event. The trail system was great! It was a blast seeing all of the families out on Saturday watching the younger riders doing the BMX track. Sunday was also fun, everything went off smoothly and Pat and the rest of the crew put on a first class event. Looking forward to next year! |

The Slaughter Pen Jam was awesome. Great trails, great venue, excellent organization! Thanks to all the folks who poured their hearts & souls into making
this event a great success, esp to Pat, Dale, Donald and the rest of the NW AR Trail Ferries.
