MEET AT THE FOOT OF THE NLR BDB AT 6:15 TONIGHT!!!

Just a reminder that Competitive Cyclist does not sponsor, sanction, provide oversight or any safeguards for the Tuesday Nitro Ride and Competitive Cyclist isn't liable for any injury.

And, don't forget the commandments:

Thou shalt keep the pace neutral until we hit the course, and if we're on the bike path we need to go super slow - pedestrian traffic is increasing as the temperatures rise, so we'll be taking the sharp left to hit the road in Burns park starting next week

Thou shalt do one lap at a time, never two. Why? Because two laps spread us out all over the course, and increase the risk factor

Thou shalt not cross the yellow line, ever. Stay in the inside lane. If you get stuck on a bad wheel, tough sh*t!. Stay there. That's racing.

Let's do it. If it's raining like crazy, we'll still go do a few laps, but we'll skip the sprints. Don't forget the commandments:

Thou shalt not draft or pass cars. This was permissable and encouraged before, but no longer. Having a car splitting the pack is a recepie for disaster on any ride, much less one where we're all anaerobic and squirrely to begin with

Thou shalt NOT sprint if there is a car in your lane on the sprint straightaway. The sprint's off, cancelled, over, if there's a car in the way - it could make an unpredictable turn and take us all out. Too risky.

lastly - Thou shalt pull through (on this ride or ANY ride, really).you don't have to break off a monster 30mph 5 minute pull, but you do have the obligation to keep the pace high if you're in the top 5 or so positions. Sitting up when it's your turn to pull has a domino effect - riders behind you will have to swerve, hit their brakes, and drift either into traffic or across the yellow line. So, just take your quick turn at the front and drift back when you pop.
