Guys don't forget that the Accelerade Cycling Team will be hosting the Arkansas State Cyclocross Championships on December 7th in Fayetteville. $1000
prize list. There will be 3 to 4 races in Arkansas leading up to this. The Tulsa area also has a series of races leading up to this also.

Is this race open to out of state riders? I ask that my wife and I are thinking of visiting her family early for X-MAS instead of waiting till after the holidays and we could both do this race while visiting. What would be the catergories available? We are coming from Portland OR. I hold a OBRA cat 3 road license, the wife is cat 4. For cross, we race Master 35+ B (myself) and Women Master 35+ (Wife). Can I purchase a one day license? How high up (catergory) can I race with a one day license? Thanks in advance

should be no reason why you should not be able race. only exception would be you not qualify to win any state championship award unless you are a arkansas
resident. i do plan on attending this event as for i live in missouri. close by event for me. good luck if you decide to race. one day event should only be
able to race cat 4 or the B event if not mistaken. if you do have a NORBA mountain bike license (USCF) you can race without buying a one day. this info could
be used to contact the promoter

Here is what the USA Cycling Rules say.
License sales are generally handled by the registration staff. License fees must be submitted to USA Cycling by the organizer. One Day Licenses can also be purchased for men's category 5 and women's category 4. USA Cycling also allows riders belonging to other domestic cycling federations, such as ACA, ABR, and OBRA to purchase a one-day license and compete in USA Cycling races up to category 3. You can locate this on usacycling.org at http://www.usacycling.org...icials_Manual_Part_1.pdf. I recommend that you contact the promoter in advance to ensure that this rule is understood. You don't want to be having this discussion at the registration table on the morning of the race. |
