Anyone have their Garmin for the Tour? I had mine, but something isn't downloading correctly. If anyone has the Tour route can you e-mail it to me via
Motion Based?? Thanks, Scott scott@robcorep.com

Google Earth the tour (trying some new tech...) | ||
|
Greetings from Jayhawk country!
Ok, big day for me. Signed up for the message board, finally loaded & cleaned up the GPS data, and tried out this new Google Documents thing I've been hearing about. Pretty cool stuff, kind of like a web-based Microsoft Word, but when you're done you've got the option to post the document where everyone can see. You can get my KML file (formatted for Google Earth) for Saturday's 60 mile tour by going to http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=ddcpjmp_1ctgtgkfm I don't do Motion Based, but this might be better for others on the board anyway-- anyone w/ Google Earth on their computer (free) can see the tour route w/ this. The best bet for getting this to work right is to copy & paste the text from the above link into notepad or something, then save it with your own filename (don't forget to put .kml at the end instead of .txt). You should then be able to open the file in Google Earth if you've got it, and see the route for the tour. If everything works properly, Google Earth should even fly you right over to Oden. -Michael |
