Delta Racing and Raising Cane's is hosting the Baton Rouge Battle cross-country mountain bike race on Sunday, May 3, 2009. Here's the race flyer:

We have decided to forgo any preregistration because few riders preregister. As such, we are waiving the $5 additional fee for registering the morning of the race, since that will be the only way to register.

Thank you so much to everyone at this race, man it was ran GREAT! The people there were so nice, all the folks at the feed sta. my hats off to you! You guys and gals are GREAT! I had a great time it was cool how all the racers would try to help each other, it was like they just want to help you finish. This was so though it took all I had to finish but I did! It took me all day! What a ride it kicked my butt! Can not say enough about this town and its people they treated us...

Crazy Hard Climb on the 80 mile course...

What is that mountain called? It feels like it climbs 1,000 feet of climbing in about a mile. Does anybody ride that section? If you do clean that section, you defy gravity and could kick Superman's ass!

I finished the 80 mile race after 9.5 plus hours, and did not have a chance to see any results because I was too whipped out and cold to look around for them after the race. I have no idea what place I was or how many folks actually finished that brutal race.

I found a pair of sunglasses early on in the Tour. If you can tell me exactly what kind and color then I would have to assume they are yours and will be happy to arrange a shipment to get them back to their rightful owner.

I was to do the 60 mile race on Sunday, but came down with this flu crap. No way I'm going to be ready. I've been on my back since Tuesday. A big bummer!
