I have limited information about this event, but this is what I have so far.
Location: Old Post Park by the tennis courts
Directions: 1500-1655 Lock and Dam Rd. Russellville AR 72802
Registration: Opens at 9:30
Race Begins: 10:30
Entry Fee $15

Hey

I am interested in getting started in cyclocross.

Quick questions.

I am doing this at 36, six foot five and not in the best shape, have a Trek 7000 not a cyclocross bicycle, is this alright to start off on? I did see the flyer for the TN race coming up and there is a masters div. Have thought of racing.

I have looked at purchasing a Surly Cross Check. Any thoughts?

Second, don't own a lick of spandex, rather not. Will I really look...

Guys don't forget that the Accelerade Cycling Team will be hosting the Arkansas State Cyclocross Championships on December 7th in Fayetteville. $1000 prize list. There will be 3 to 4 races in Arkansas leading up to this. The Tulsa area also has a series of races leading up to this also.

Hey guys I found this race via USAC website... i emailed the guy and got an invite for 2 of us from jonesboro easily. Just spreading the word. It is a little bit of a drive but it is a saturday evening race and they are suppose to have free wine tasting.....

10th Annual Eureka Springs Fat Tire Festival

New event at the Fatty Fest this year. Luck 13 Short Track. Only .5 miles. 50/50 paved to road. Cash lap primes for all classes. Bell lap primes as well. Overall Cash prizes for Expert. Very fast double track course with only 30 feet of climbing. Cheap entry fee. Short races. Big awards party afterwards with food, drink, music and videos at Sparky' Road House.

This race should suit cyclocross racers very well. Chance to put the Fat Tire Freaks in their place.
