Thinking about some late winter(mid Feb.) training. how is the area for road riding? Small roads? Hilly? Any advice is appreciated.

Hot Springs Christmas Parade

HSBA and The Fitness Zone will be joining forces for our Christmas Parade. It will be held Dec. 7th with rain date of the 9th. The theme is "Old Fashion Christmas". Our plan is to ride our bikes and walk with little red wagons filled with gifts of health. More details will follow after the parade meeting. Come join us!

Arkansas Department of Parks & Tourism is looking for some road riders to participate in a photo shoot for publication. We are trying to get some good shots of cyclists on the Talimena Highway near Queen Wilhelmina State Park. We are looking for two men and two women on road bikes. German Army bikes

the German army in ww2 used bicycles. I am in a reenactment group that does German, so I made up a wehrmacht fahrrad, a bike that resembles what they rode, my fantasy is to see a whole column of soldaten in uniform with their rifles slung and riding in single file. not in town of course. when I moved here in late 2002 I left all my bikes in storage in north east Missouri, it has been seven years and they are still there, I should have brought at least one road bike with me so I could be a tourist or racer, there are two fat tired cruisers in the group of bikes a schwinn panther and a gamble department store Eagle from the 1930s I would trade both of them toa nyone who could take me to Shelbina Mo. to get my bikes BTW ther are over a dozen good bikes there

Hi all from Michigan. I am planning to visit my brother in Little Rock this March and try out the Spa City 6 hour. From the trail description, it looks like this trail may be well suited to a singlespeed. I ride a rigid 29'er and I was hoping for some feedback from the singlespeeders in the audience regarding this race as well as the trail and gearing options.

Hey all, the AFS will be doing lots of trail work in the coming weeks to get ready for the Nat, trails symposium here in Little Rock. Visiting HS over SpringBreak, wanted to ride Womble, and or Little Blakey (SP), not sure where the trail head is for Womble. Can someone tell me a place to jump in?

Also, is the Little Blakey (SP) ridable? I have been there several times and it seems it was getting more and more difficult to ride.

Here is the scoop! Meet at North Fork Lake 9:00 a.m. Riding east this year. You can bail out at Bruce and Jann's place just down the road from 270 crossing or ride to Fishing Village. We will not be providing any shuttles so work that out amoungst yourselves.
